As an Analog Electronic Development Engineer within the Electronics Department in Moog's Aircraft Group (Military Division), you will be responsible for the electronics design of high reliability electronics for the aerospace industry, with a focus on the analog side.

 

 Here's what you’ll work on:

·         Work with other team members in the development of analog electronics for aerospace applications

·         Engage in various trade studies to provide the best option for the product and in compliance of milestone reviews

·         Engage in component selection, circuit design and optimization of analog electronic circuits

·         Demonstrate proficiency in the analysis and reliability optimization of analog circuits

·         Employ tolerance stack-up methodologies to ensure compliant designs under all environmental scenarios

·         Be a contributor to design proposal teams, preparing designs, estimating costs, and writing the technical volumes

·         Aid in requirement generation as necessary

·         Work with drafting to prepare applicable drawings and documentation needed for the fabrication and assembly of printed wiring boards

·         Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports

·         Operate effectively as a key member of a diverse worldwide and multi-disciplinary team 

·         Represent Moog in a manner consistent with its technical reputation

·         Support multiple designs and programs concurrently in a fast-paced environment

Here’s what you will need to bring with you: 

  • BS Degree plus three to five years of experience in the development/design of high reliability ANALOG electronics; or MS Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Aptitude for creative synthesis, and the ability to utilize and quickly learn advanced design and/or analysis techniques 
  •  A basic knowledge of closedloop control systems, electronic hardware design 
  •  Experience with design, testing and verification/validation of analog hardware

It would be great if you also had:

·         Exposure to multi-discipline engineering teams (digital, mechanical, power, motor…etc)

·         Familiarity with various electronics military specifications

·         Practical experience in electric components / methodologies and standards associated with the aerospace industry

·         Exposure to power electronics a plus

The base pay range for this opportunity in NY is $67,000 - $123,600 annually.  The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual profit-sharing bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.
