Moog is hiring a Senior Electronics Test Engineer within our Aircraft Group. This hybrid position will be based in Torrance, CA, East Aurora, NY, or Huntsville, AL. If selected for our Torrance site, you will also enjoy a 9/80 schedule.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with 10+ years related experience; Master’s degree in the field of electrical engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience also accepted
  • Proven capabilities in the technical aspects of test (software & hardware)
  • Proven capabilities for troubleshooting Electronic Hardware
  • Test hardware design experience
  • Proficiency with LabView, Python or C#
  • PowerPoint and Excel skills required; must have ability to create spreadsheets with complex analyses.
  • Presentation skills and ability to present to customers, suppliers and at internal meetings

 

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Manager of Electrical Test Engineering, you will be responsible for the design, development, troubleshooting, maintenance, and general support of Electronics test equipment.  Products involved include common Actuator Control Unit (ACU) and Flight Control Computers (FCC) at the Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) level. Hardware design and programming is also required. You will interface with Operations and Design engineering on manufacturing issues and facilitate the transition of products and test equipment to supply chain. You will oversee product entry into service (EIS) and ensure successful transition of designs to production. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electronic test equipment
  • Support transition plans for electronic designs moving into production and into the supply chain. 
  • Participate in and assist with supplier training of test equipment and/or providing test equipment requirements to aid in their development at the supplier.
  • Lead cross-site efforts of New Product Introduction (NPI) for engineering and test aspects.
  • Lead technical problem-solving efforts for complex electronic assemblies to resolve systemic non-conformances.  
  • Work closely with Design, Manufacturing, and Test on Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).

    Salary:

    The base pay range for this opportunity is $85,000 - $150,000 per year 

    The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits. 

     

    This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
