The new Moog Construction team focuses on the construction and mobile machinery industry.  The goal is to address global macro trends of zero emission machines, skilled labor shortages and increased productivity through technological disruptions; electrification, automation, and connectivity.  Our mission is to accelerate automation and electrification in the construction industry.  

Our team in Moog Construction is looking for an Operations & Supply Chain Director to join them. You will report to the Business Director, OEM Solutions and will be a key leader enabling the growth of this new business. You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Moog Construction’s operations & supply chain strategy for scaling volumes, reducing cost and meeting performance metrics (quality and delivery) through multiple phases of the business’ growth. You will lead and work collaboratively within Moog’s global teams and external parties to implement models for operations & supply chain through multiple phases of growth. This role requires adopting new models of working to hit the commercial targets necessary for the growth of this new business.  

To be considered for the Operations & Supply Chain Director, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelors of Science in Business, Materials Management, Supply Chain or Technical Degree – preferably at Master’s level.
  • Minimum of ten(10) years or related experience, with seven (7) years of progressive supply chain sourcing and/or operations experience
  • Experience designing and implementing global, multi-phased operations and supply chains strategies for the cost targets and volumes associated with the Moog Construction business
  • Preferred experience transitioning products to contract manufacturers
  • Preferred experience with mechanical and electronic products
  • Preferred experience with the mobile machinery / construction market
  • Global travel will be required with this role.

As an Operations & Supply Chain Director, you will:

  • Lead strategy development and execution for scaling a productionized multi-product offering from the current state of 100s of systems per year to 1,000s and eventually 10,000s systems per year for the OEM Solutions business for current and next generation products.
  • Plan, identify, and execute with global Moog teams and existing/future suppliers to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop creative solutions for production volumes, cost targets, and APQP quality requirements that go beyond what we traditionally work with at Moog.
  • Build and mature our existing Operations and Supply Chain Team including partnering with leads at various Moog global sites
  • Lead team to create strategy for multi-phased scaling with Moog sites and new suppliers, including identification and onboarding of new contract manufacturers
  • Support make vs buy decisions analysis with engineering and product management
  • Assist with the identification and evaluation of potential partnerships or acquisitions
  • Partnership with Moog Construction Leadership team for understanding strategy objectives
  • Lead & develop direct reports
  • Develop and maintain operations KPIs

Salary Range:

  • The base pay range for this opportunity is $165,000 - $215,000 per year.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include a profit share bonus, employee stock purchase plan, a flexible paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits
