Hydraulic Calibration Technician

 

This role’s primary responsibility is to perform calibrations of hydraulic related measurement and test equipment (M&TE). Equipment includes but is not limited to flowmeters, temperature / pressure sensors.

This position requires strong planning, organization, and interpersonal skills. The incumbent must work collaboratively in a team environment where both taking direction from others and offering technical input is essential to resolving issues. The incumbent must be able to react readily to changing priorities and adjust his/her work accordingly.

As a Hydraulic Calibration Technician, you will

  • Plan, organize, and complete hydraulic calibration and maintenance/repair activities and assist in identifying, resolving, or escalating issues related to hydraulic calibrated hardware and test equipment.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical Technicians to complete calibrations.
  • Use calibration tracking software to process M&TE calibrations.
  • Help to resolve technical issues with vendors and/or contracted services or escalate, when necessary. 
  • Ensure the maintenance of calibration records and traceability to the National Bureau of Standards as well as compliance to applicable Military Standards and specifications.  
  • Support internal, regulatory, registrar and customer audits.  
  • Participate in root cause investigation and corrective action implementation of immediate and permanent corrective actions to prevent a recurrence.  
  • Provide recommendations for updating existing calibration test procedures and data sheets.  This may include working directly with a Calibration Engineer to complete an initial calibration to establish acceptable standards and methods to be followed in subsequent calibrations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to assist in the calibration of equipment in an orderly, efficient, and safe manner.
  • Operate company vehicles or handcarts for transporting equipment and performing on-site calibration and/or maintenance in all weather conditions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in a relevant technical field and over three years of related experience in hydraulic calibration, repair and/or maintenance OR
  • Over 7 years of related experience in hydraulic calibration, repair and/or maintenance.
  • The ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Salary Range:

           The base pay for this opportunity is $52,457.60- $93,433.60/year.

Actual salaries will vary depending on many factors such as skills, experience, certifications and performance.
