FPGA Design Engineer

 

MOOG Space and Defense Group is a proven provider of high performance and reliable space-rated avionics hardware and software. Products include control and data handling, power distribution, payload interface cards, mass memory, GPS receivers, motor and actuation drivers and controllers, and onboard computing. MOOG has partnered with NASA to provide electronic solutions for the Artemis Orion Crew Capsule, Viper Lunar Rover, Satellite Laser Communications Relay, OSIRIS-REX to study asteroid composition along with complete satellite buses for the defense department.

 

MOOG is looking for highly skilled FPGA Designers.

 

Responsible for the design of embedded FPGAs. These designs are targeted for spacecraft electronics.

The designer should possess several of the following skills:

  • Strong verbal communicator and proficient at generating technical documentation.
  • Develop conceptual designs and perform trade studies.
  • Generate FPGA design requirements and architecture diagrams.
  • Develop HDL code and testbenches for FPGAs.
  •  Perform design analysis that shows compliance to requirements and good design practices.
  • Experience with board bring up and troubleshooting in the lab environment.
  • Experience collaborating across engineering disciplines

 

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires:

·    Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

·    A minimum of 3 years of FPGA design and test experience

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
