Our Space and Defense Group is looking for an Electrical Test Equipment Design Engineer to join them. You will report to the Senior Engineering Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in East Aurora, NY.
As an Electrical Test Equipment Design Engineer in our Space & Defense Group in East Aurora you will be responsible for design and development of hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, servo-mechanism, and electro-pneumatic components and systems that will be used to test the products of Moog, Inc. This position is responsible for design and development of new electrical test equipment, assemblies, and/or processes to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals. You will contribute to the design of test equipment to verify functional performance of products used on military, commercial, and space vehicles.
To be considered for Electrical Test Equipment Design Engineer, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years’ relevant technical experience OR Master of Science Degree in Engineering with 2+ Years’ relevant technical experience
- Due to involvement with certain military programs, US citizenship is required
- DOORS experience a plus
As an Electrical Test Equipment Design Engineer, you will:
- Be a key member in a team of creative, independent individuals.
- Contribute to the development of new test equipment through consulting with internal customers.
- Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses.
- Integrate electronic components into higher level systems and test completed designs.
- Prepare, support, and guide the work of Assembly and Test technicians supporting your development activities.
- Contribute on work estimates for design and development efforts.
- Maintain engineering records, changes made and effects of changes on performance.
- Independently initiate and perform specialized research.
- Create reliable designs through a comprehensive experimental development test program.
- Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.
- Shares values of “teamwork is a must” and thus good communication is key.

Salary Range:
- The base pay range for this opportunity is $75,000 - $105,000 per year

The base pay range represents the low and high end of the Moog pay range or indicates the hourly rate for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on many factors such as skills, experience, certifications and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
