The Space Vehicles team is growing and comprises a cross-disciplinary group of industry veterans and young talent alike. The focus is on the development of satellite buses, Orbital Maneuvering Vehicles (OMVs), space tugs, and more. The team is a tight-knit group of collaboration-oriented professionals that welcome others looking to work on multi-faceted, complex problems as a team.

Our team in Space and Defense Group is looking for a Quality Inspector to join them. You will report to the Sr. Quality Engineer and will have an onsite work schedule in Arvada, CO.

To be considered for the Quality Inspector, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

·             High school, GED or equivalent

·             5 years or more of Aerospace Inspection experience

·             In-depth knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements and forms

·             Advanced engineering drawing/schematic reading

·             Familiarity with AS9100D requirements

·             Advanced knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements

·             Knowledge of Wire and Harnessing drawings, assembly, and inspection techniques – IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification preferred

·             Knowledge of Calibration standards/practices (ANSI Z540/ISO 17025 knowledge preferred)

·             Basic computer program skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook)

 

As a Quality Inspector, you will:

·       Perform Receiving, In-Process, and Final Inspection utilizing manual inspection equipment/gaging.

·       Initiate documentation of nonconformance issues and cooperate with cross-functional teams to assist in problem solving activities to support identified nonconformities.

·       Review supplier End Item Data Packs and First Article Inspection Reports.

·       Generate AS9102 First Article Inspection reports.

·       Perform inspections throughout hardware receiving, assembly, integration, and test.

·       Assembly support activities include reviewing suspect hardware, initiating nonconformance documentation, and supporting RCCA activities as applicable.

·       Test support activities include verification of appropriate test configuration, adherence to test procedures, and review of test flags generated when potential issues are encountered.

Note: This role supports 1st shift on 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off) with core working hours from 8am - 4pm. Plus ability to work overtime as needed.  

Salary Range:

Pay range for this opportunity is $70k-$90k per year

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits. 

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
